End of term, holiday image feast.
Term three ended with a wonderful blast last Friday. I stayed in school till about 6pm to clear my marking and desk, but before that, 2E1 was so kind as to organise a makan party for several of us subject teachers.
Took some great pictures, won't post them all here, but I'm so glad that I was given the opportunity to meet and get to know this bunch of people.
Pick the odd one out...

Chih Kai, Marcus (eyes visible), Wenbin, Isaac, Gabriel, Parthipan, Wai Jit.
The whole gang!
Today (Wednesday), I started my first proper day of "holidays". Admin stuff from practicum is pretty much wrapped up. I enjoyed the experience, hope everyone survives the whirlwind of destruction i've left in my wake. 2E1 and 2E2, been great teaching ya, don't let it slide now, we've covered the "Skilz", now put them to use and go ace some exams like we trained for!
Met up with the NIE Crazy Bunch at Chris' place today. We made it as far as the sofas, never got to the pool, especially once the food arrived. Sandwiches, fruits, and enough pizza to sink a ship. Wayne brought his home brewed beer. "100% pure Wayne" was his selling line. Not sure if that's going to attract customers or send them screaming back to mummy.
Fang, with study materials....

"Eh! Dun spoil market leh!"
Fahmi, also with study materials but of a different sort.

"If only we could use this as a history text..."
Angel and Wayne, reliving childhood memories...

"Would you like a cup of tea Mr Bear?"
"Of course I would! Some tea with honey would be lovely!"

But little do we know, lurking beneath the cheerful facade of a smiling rugby fanatic lies the terrible monster...
ANGELzilla!!!
...reaching down with her enormous hand, she plucks the unsuspecting teddy from the bed places him in the middle of the tea party, together with the other teddies... FEEL THE HORROR!!!

Skip forward to dinner time...
For dinner, met up with Tim and Kenny @ Borders Cafe. BAD's birthday is on Friday, we are conspiring to do something tasty.
Managed to avoid spending any more money on books today. Not a bad effort, I saw a lovely gem on little teacher stories that were related to seemingly unrelated situations, was sorely tempted to pick it up for bit-size train or bedtime reading, but i realise i have a reading list about the size of my thesis bibliography (well... ok... not quite so large..) of books that lie insufficiently loved on my bedside table. Need to give them some bookworm love before I can justify acquiring more books for my harem... erm... library.
Online on MSN this evening, had an engaging conversation with Edmund. We started the beginnings of a debate, but had to cut short. Had fun though, for rekindling a fire that had been rather diminished over the last few years, Edmund's picture shall appear on my blog here at its conclusion this evening!
This is Peregrine, signing off very late on Wednesday evening, and enjoying every bit of it.
